              "Focus Open" for Levitate

              The Nowy Styl Group has won a "Focus Special Mention" award at the "Focus Open 2017" for Levitate - yet another confirmation that the renowned company is a driving force and pioneer in this industry sector. Nowy Styl Group has therefore proven once again that its motto "We KNOW HOW to #MakeYourSpace" really is more than just a promise.

              "By designers for designers": In keeping with this motto, the Design Center Baden-Württemberg once again invited companies and designers to submit their work for the 2017 international "Focus Open" design award. This renowned regional government-sponsored competition is already well-established and enjoys an excellent reputation both nationally and internationally.

              The coveted Focus Open 2017

              As always, the competition was about honouring the best, most ground-breaking and most professional designs, products and concepts - in recognition of the highest design quality. The unusual office furniture solution "Levitate” won the "Focus Special Mention 2017".

              The comprehensive office solution for the future

              "Levitate" stands for "lightness". The functional office furniture system was designed by design studio WertelOberfell to meet the requirements of people who work in offices these days: "Levitate" is durable and sophisticated, and also the perfect basis for the "floating" look expected of office furniture. Inspired by nature and the home office design trend, "Levitate" creates a homely atmosphere in the office. Whether workstations on workbenches, free-standing desks resting on characteristic "floating" A-shaped trestles or large tables for meeting areas: Thanks to the wide variety of designs, "Levitate" is perfect for furnishing any space, from small home to large-scale open-plan offices. "Levitate" represents a modular system, individuality and maximum functionality coupled with top-class design - a combination which ultimately also convinced the "Focus Open 2017" jury of experts and received the award “Focus Special Mention 2017”.

              Awarded and presented

              The official ceremony of "Focus Open" took place on 13 October 2017 in Ludwigsburg. The award presentations also marked the opening of the subsequent exhibition at the art museum MIK "Museum Information Kunst" in Ludwigsburg, where design fans and anyone else interested in design are invited to experience "Levitate" live from 14 October to 22 November 2017.
