“UPstream”, the magazine published by Nowy Styl, was awarded the Silver Clip (Srebrny Spinacz) in the most significant PR competition in Poland. The jury agreed that the magazine, which combines involving content with attractive layout, is a reliable tool for building the company image and thus contributes greatly to its business operations.
A good story needs a perfect balance between words and images – this is the motto of our editorial team, who have been working on each issue of “UPstream” for two years now. Back then we decided that our magazine should change its format and become an official brand publication rather than a set of materials for trade fairs.
In our texts we rediscover the history and present it using modern media tools. We have also expanded the list of the topics we explore, to include cross-brand phenomena, bordering on architecture, fashion and utility design. We have even ventured to go for a light narrative to provide a handful of knowledge about the world around us.
The layout of our publication has also been amended. Our magazine now comes in a handy size, has a customised grid and is printed on a special kind of paper. All these features are evocative of the best available press titles related to art and culture.
The combination of unique content and layout is widely acclaimed by marketing and PR experts. In 2019 “UPstream” won the first prize in the Company Bulletin Competition. A few days ago the jury of Golden Clips (Złote Spinacze) – the most important PR competition in Poland – decided to award us the Silver Clip in the category of custom publishing. According to the jury, “UPstream” contributes to reliable image building of Nowy Styl among its partners and clients, which in turn serves to support our business operations.
We are extremely happy about and grateful for this distinction, and we promise to come up with more interesting stories in the next issues.
