Remote work. Remote journeys. Remote concerts… During the pandemic our lives are mainly confined to home and we find it hard to engage in culture activities. It is difficult, but nevertheless possible.
33rd edition of the Krakow International Festival Of Composers has to go online because of the epidemic. It is definitely a huge loss for the enthusiasts of classical music. A live concert appeals to all of your senses – apart from the music itself most of us appreciate the atmosphere of the event and the experience of being part of a larger audience, not to mention the acoustic properties of the concert hall or comfortable seats. On the other hand, an online event means it will be available to a larger audience. We would kindly like to invite you to participate in the online edition of the Krakow International Festival Of Composers. This time Nowy Styl is one of the official patrons of the event.
The leading motif of this year’s edition will be ancient civilisations — the main focus is the culture of ancient Greece and Rome, but there will be numerous other references, such as the South American Nazca culture. You will have the opportunity to hear such pieces as: Medea Fragments by Toshio Hosokawa, Casandra’s Dream Song by Brian Ferneyhough, Ecotopia 4 by Michael Gatonski, The Head of Medusa by Witold Szalonek or Cassiopee II by Jacek Domagała.
Because of the epidemic, all the concerts will be played without audience and will be broadcast online on the official YouTube channel.
