Tapa at prestigious exhibition of Polish design

Tapa poufs were shown at Poland In., an exhibition held in Geneva for the 100th anniversary of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. The exhibition highlights the most important achievements of Polish engineering and design.

The exhibition of Polish inventions and industrial design Poland In. was presented at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva on 24 September – 2 October 2018. The exhibition was part of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. It showed the most important, the latest and often iconic achievements of Polish engineering and design.

”For the exhibition, we chose projects that are prosperous and well-known on the domestic and international market, but also ones that are just entering the market, groundbreaking and surprising. They all prove that Polish engineering and design match the standards set by global leaders of innovation” comments Karolina Badzioch-Brylska, Head of the Promotion Department of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the institution that organized the exhibition.

The interior design category was represented, among other products, by  Tapa poufs made by the Nowy Styl Group. The product line designed by Mac Stopa is meant to be used in office spaces and reception areas, where it works very well not only as a modern and comfortable element of decor (versions with round and square poufs are available), but also as an informal meeting spot. The design has been appreciated many times before – Tapa has won a number of design awards, including from Iconic Awards 2017, Active Office Award and Best of Year Awards.

It is worth noting that Tapa poufs are yet another product from the Nowy Styl Group's product range to find its way to a design exhibition. The Cello sofa and the Vision chair could be viewed at The Other Side of Things. Polish Design After 1989 exhibition at the National Museum in Kraków last summer.
