Nowy Styl awarded Platinum by EcoVadis
In their search for reliable information and to improve sustainable management in their supply chains, businesses increasingly reach for assessments by independent institutions. EcoVadis is one of the leading auditors in this field, with Nowy Styl undergoing their audits for many years now. This year, the company achieved the highest possible rating and was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal.
This highest certificate crowns our multiple efforts in the areas of environment, sustainable supply chain and business ethics, which Nowy Styl has pursued for many years. It also confirms we can efficiently manage those processes and are a high-security partner.

How is an EcoVadis audit conducted?
As part of an audit, EcoVadis rates several dozen criteria in four thematic categories:
- human and labour rights
- environment
- ethics
- sustainable procurement
The criteria applied are based on international sustainability standards such as the UN Global Compact, the GRI and the ISO 26000 standard. This year, greater focus was placed on issues related to the management of greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
EcoVadis analysts verify data based on documentation prepared, also relying on external sources. A team of Nowy Styl specialists generally responsible for the fulfilment of our sustainability goals have been involved in preparations for the audit.
Our achievements in 2021
As a gold medal winner, Nowy Styl received 71 points last year. To reach for platinum, we had to show further progress. This year, we got 78 points! Our highest growth was in sustainable procurement - we encourage you to read the details of what we achieved in that area. We also improved our ratings for ethics, and kept up those for environment and human and labour rights at the previous top level.
In today's world, one cannot overestimate the importance of the EcoVadis assessment - it is very popular with our customers and financial partners.
Increasingly, our customers are not satisfied with suppliers’ declaration of sustainability measures. Instead, they demand an independent, standardized assessment, such as the one provided by EcoVadis. We are glad to be coming out better in the audit every year. The Platinum Medal is a great success, but we are not stopping there. This is what our customers expect of us, and this is what we expect of ourselves and our organisation.
