Nowy Styl awarded with platinum EcoVadis medal!
Nowy Styl has once again received the highest possible EcoVadis assessment - the Platinum Medal. This high rating is only achieved by 1% of companies from all over the world approaching the certification process. It proves our process management is efficient and we can ensure secure cooperation.
In the face of the climate crisis and the ambitious commitments of the European Union in the area of sustainable development, CSR/ESG issues have become a priority for businesses. Standalone initiatives are no longer sufficient and independent organisations have been tasked with thoroughly assessing companies' activities in this field.
The rating platform EcoVadis is one of the most trusted auditors. It examines and evaluates companies in detail in the four thematic categories:
- human and labour rights
- environment
- ethics
- sustainable procurement
- UN Global Compact
- GRI standards
- ISO 26000 standard
The outcome of this assessment is particularly important to us because it showcases Nowy Styl’s path towards sustainable development and our advancement in this area. In 2019, we approached the EcoVadis assessment for the first time and were awarded the Silver Medal. Already in the following year, we reported enormous progress and received the Gold Medal, followed by the Platinum Medal. Methodology used by EcoVadis not only requires organisations to provide a report on measures they have taken, but also to demonstrate progress in specific areas compared to previous assessments. Considering how challenging the past years have been, marked by the pandemic, the war and various crises, we have shown that sustainable development is deeply ingrained in what we do and, despite the challenges in other areas, we have not stopped on our path of progressa

Almost 15 people from the following 10 departments of our company worked to prepare the replies and supporting documentation:

- OHS department

- Controlling Department
This shows the broad scope of the detailed audit that the platform performs with respect to business operations.
Each time our CSR team have to face new questions and demonstrate progress made through our previous activities. This year, we are particularly proud to have improved our assessment scores by 10 points in the categories of environment and ethics.
Of course, we are not going to settle for this success. We are already planning a number of measures in all the areas to be taken this year and in the following years, so as to maintain our leading position in sustainable development in the years to come.
