Nowy Styl wins the Platinum EcoVadis medal for the fourth time.

The company was also awarded the Ethical Company 2024 title and the ESG Rising Star distinction

Nowy Styl - a leader in comprehensive furniture solutions for offices and public places - won its fourth EcoVadis Platinum medal, placing it among the top 1% of the companies rated by EcoVadis in the furniture manufacturing industry. Nowy Styl was also awarded in the Ethical Company 2024 competition organised by Puls Biznesu. The title goes to Polish businesses that excel in building and strengthening an organisational culture founded on ethics and the principles of corporate social responsibility. In addition to the main title, Nowy Styl also received the ESG Rising Star distinction as a special recognition of its sustainability efforts.

In this year's EcoVadis assessment, Nowy Styl scored even higher than in previous years, with a total of 86/100 points (an increase of 4 points). The jury of the Ethical Company competition, on the other hand, recognised the company’s work to promote ethics and social responsibility as integral elements of the organisation's strategy and building a future based on values.

In EcoVadis, Nowy Styl scored higher than last year in each specific area of assessment. This was possible thanks to the efforts of the various departments and teams and their sustainability activities: 93/100 in Environment, 84/100 in Labour and Human Rights, 72/100 in Ethics, and 85/100 in Sustainable Procurement.

Highest score for Environment
The company scored highest in the Environment area. Taking care of environmental aspects at all stages of the product life cycle by implementing the ecodesign system, which spreads the requirements across all areas of the organisation, provides a solid basis for implementing products, processes and business models in the spirit of the circular economy. This is done with constant care for consumer health and safety. Carbon footprint management is another strength of Nowy Styl. The company is consistently implementing projects to reduce its carbon footprint as part of its short-, medium- and long-term goals.

Nowy Styl has implemented an ecodesign system aligned with ISO 14006, which makes it possible to set very specific requirements for products in the context of their full life cycle. With this approach, products, processes and business models based on the principles of the circular economy can be implemented effectively, which is an important part of the sustainability strategy.

Strong performance in all areas of the EcoVadis assessment
The high score in Labour and Human Rights is linked to the continuous and consistent implementation of commitments and policies adopted by Nowy Styl. All efforts and activities in this area are highly rated, focusing on social dialogue, working conditions, health and safety at work, training and development of employees, and counteracting child labour, forced labour, slave labour, mobbing and discrimination in the workplace.

In the area of Sustainable Procurement, on the other hand, thanks to the company’s consistent work with suppliers and the ESG monitoring tools implemented, Nowy Styl has achieved full performance and effective implementation of sustainability measures. Supplier documentation is aligned with best practice, and transparent reporting ensures continuous monitoring of progress. Nowy Styl has integrated sustainable processes and supplier engagement into common goals. It creates a responsible supply chain, setting new standards.

Nowy Styl has also seen growth in the Ethics area, as a result of consistent improvement in standards and practices. The focus has been on providing secure and confidential reporting channels for whistleblowers, as well as developing compliance awareness and knowledge across the organisation. At the same time, a culture of accountability has been strengthened by expanding mechanisms for identifying and mitigating sanction risks. Business ethics training has also been provided, targeting both new and existing employees.

Cyber security has been an integral part of the activities, building risk awareness among employees to make information security a shared responsibility. Risks have been reassessed in the context of new challenges and the organisation's resilience to incidents has been strengthened by redefining risks, roles, responsibilities and performance measures for actions taken.
